Course Description:

Teletherapy for psychophysiology has long benefitted clients who are unable to attend office training either due to chronic health problems or distance. In the age of COVID-19, when clients need to be able to connect with their therapists more than ever, therapists might consider teletraining as a means to keep therapy moving forward and maintaining a viable practice. The good news is our selection of training platforms and technology to implement home training has never been better!
With some thought and preparation, home training can become viable and even preferable to office-based work. However, smooth and seamless implementation is critical for client success. This session reviews practical considerations for therapists moving toward home training, including selecting equipment and technology, evaluating client suitability and readiness, choosing HIPPAA-compliant meeting platforms, preparing the client for home training, structuring software and apps to meet client needs, and overcoming technical issues along the way.

Learning Objectives:
Professionals who complete this webinar will be able to:

  • Participants will be able to identify a HIPAA compliant meeting platform that meets their practice needs.
  • Participants will describe three factors critical for the therapist to successfully plan and implement teletraining.
  • Participants will explain three indicators of client readiness to successfully utilize teletraining.
  • Participants will describe two means of tracking client progress.
