University of Alberta solicits input for pediatric CAM research agenda.

Dear Colleague,

I am writing to ask if you would be willing to participate in Round 4 of a modified Delphi process to develop priorities for a pediatric CAM research agenda. We are reaching out to as many people as possible from various backgrounds in pediatric CAM and we would greatly value your input as a participant in this process. Additionally, we would appreciate if you would call upon your colleagues to participate and offer their feedback on the survey.

Further information about the study can be found below.

What is the structure of this modified Delphi study?

This study consists of four rounds. The first round was circulated in January 2010 to the broad pediatric CAM community including researchers, educators and clinicians. These responses were summarized and developed into a refined checklist. Round 2 focused on determining priorities and feasibility of the checklist. Round 3 consisted of an in-person meeting at which a summary document was developed. In round 4 we are asking for your feedback on this document. Regardless of whether or not you participated in rounds 1-3, you are still eligible to participate in round 4. We anticipate that the time commitment for this round will be approximately 10 minutes. Responses will be collected over a six-week period between Oct 23-Dec 5, 2010. All responses will be treated confidentially and only aggregated data will be reported. This study has been approved by the University of Alberta’s Health Research Ethics Board.

Your expertise is needed.

Your expertise is important at all stages of the process and we hope you will participate. More information about the study can be found in the attached information letter. Completing the survey indicates that you have given your consent to participate. To access the survey click on the link below.
