Course Description:
Severe and suicidal depression is a growing psychological disability throughout the world. Practitioners of biofeedback and neurofeedback have achieved excellent results treating stress disorders and ADHD related issues. This webinar will present the results and methodology of neurofeedback success alleviating suicidal and severe depression. Neurofeedback is especially warranted with those individuals whose depression is resistant to psychotropic drug intervention. Two cases studies will be presented that apply Dr. Angelo Bolea's Quadrant Brain Model of neurofeedback to the treatment of depression. One of the case studies is a young mother who had post-partum depression; the other case is a women whose severe depression was one of several symptoms of post-concussion syndrome. The EEG assessment and treatment protocols will be written out and explained in detail. In one of Dr. Romig's studies of 20 consecutive clients with severe depression, 19 of the clients (95%) achieved success and maintained remission for 2 years.

Dennis Romig, PhD

Since 2003, Dennis A. Romig, PhD, BCIA has treated clients using Neurofeedback, other Biofeedback, and cognitive behavioral treatment for the following problems:

  • Depression
  • Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Post-Concussion Syndrome (PCS)
  • Anxiety Attention Deficit Disorder and Hyperactivity (ADD-HD)
  • Epilepsy and other seizure disorders
  • Behavioral and Anger Problems
  • Insomnia and Sleep Disorders

Dennis has been on the Board of the Biofeedback Society of Texas since 2013 and is Past-President 2015-2016. Je obtained his Master's Degree and Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin. He received post-graduate training at the Bowen Center for the Study of the Family from 1996 to 2006. From 1999 to 2012, Dr. Romig received training and mentoring from Dr. Angelo Bolea, a leading neuropsychologist and neurofeedback specialist in the Washington, D.C. area.
